No Plan, is the Plan

No Plan, is the Plan

The constant cycle of training for the next race can be exhausting, even detrimental to future successes.

I recently read a tweet from running coach Greg McMillan stating every runner needs periods of ‘just running not training for the next race.’ (Well, that is how I remember the tweet.)

That is where I find myself these days, free from the demand a training schedule.

Does that mean I am not running? No.

I still find myself running the same amount of days during the week? But, I am running the miles for fun. I am running the miles to stay active.

I wrote a post a few years ago titled, “What’s On Your Radar?” In the post I gave my opinion on the importance of having a plan in all areas of your life.

I have a running plan, ‘no plan.’ It’s time to enjoy.

The next training cycle is coming soon.

Why?
