Leadership Behavior...good planning

Here is the first post that goes a little deeper into the leadership behaviors that I want to model for my team.

The behavior:  I want to lead my team by being a ‘good planner.’  Good Planning in church is all about being flexible and flexibility comes from a continuous evaluation process…always taking a look at where we are at the moment…the present state of the ministry.  It is only from honest evaluation that future goals can be set and progress evaluated.  Setting goals from honest evaluation will give the ministry a sense of direction and purpose. The goals then will determine daily agendas and give clear understanding of what is expected. It is then that the process comes full circle and the evaluation continues.

Proverbs 21:5 says “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

I do want to lead by being a good planner who is flexible and willing to always take an honest look at the present state.
