Why so fast?

Why so fast?

There is a rumor going around about us. Yep, word on the street is that the Breakfast Club Run only runs one speed...fast.

Yes, there are some fast runners and I can’t keep up with them.  Even though some of our group runs fast there is never any intention to leave someone behind.

Last week we had a group that ran the five miles at an 8:15 pace.  There was also a group that ran an 11:15 pace. Then there were those of us in the middle.

No matter your pace you are welcome to join us.  If you come give the Breakfast Club a try, I promise on your first week someone will run with you.

If you are worried about being the only one at ‘your’ pace then invite a running buddy to come with you.

The people of the Breakfast Club are some of the finest I have ever met. We are not just running companions, but friends.

The Breakfast Club meets at Fleet Feet and our first running steps are at 5:30 am.

One last word about being fast. Congratulations to one of our own Nathan Pierce for finishing 2nd overall in the Mississippi Blues Marathon last weekend. He time was around 2:53.  Now that is fast! How fast? That’s around a 6:40 pace per mile.  Way to go Nathan.
